IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 1st dc in each round is replased by 3 ch or a faux dc.
Round 1-16: Finish each round with a slip stitsh i 3rd chain or in top of the faux dc.
Work a magic ring
Rnd 1: 9 dc around the magic ring, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc.
Rnd 2: 2 dc in each dc around, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc. (18 stitches)
Rnd 3: (1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc) 9 times, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc. (27 stitches)
Rnd 4: (1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 9 times, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc. (36 stitches)
Rnd 5: (1 dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc) 9 times, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc. (45 stitches)
Rnd 6-16: 1 dc in each dc around, finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc.
Rnd 17: 1 sc in the 1st dc, 1 sc in each dc around (Do not finish with a sl st)
Rnd 18-20: Crochet in back loop only, 1 sc in each sc around. Finish round 20 with a sl st in 1st sc.
Cut yarn, weave in ends

When you start a new round you can't start with a dc, you have to fake one. The most common way to do this is to ch3 and the three chains count as one dc. At the end of the round you slip stitch into the 3rd ch. Another way is to start the round with a faux dc. This looks more similar to a normal dc, and you find the instructions on how to do this if you click on the link :)
